Week 3....not so great

Week three of Kennady's life was not as good as the first two!! Jeff was SICK!! He stayed in bed for 5 days straight!! It really sucked! It was a chore to take care of everyone by myself and try to keep everyone from getting sick, especially Kennady! I was exhausted! Jeff even missed his own birthday party on Sunday!

Kennady has also been very congested and wants to sleep upright or not sleep at all. Needless to say, I haven't slept much and when I have, it has been sitting up!

Also, my future brother in law spent nearly a week in the hospital in renal failure. Sign up for boot camp at your own risk!!

Jeff's car broke down for a day, luckily we think it was just the battery!

Kennady has goo-gooed this week though! It is very cute!

I hope this next week will be better! Gage, Kennady and Gavin

Two weeks!!

Kennady is two weeks old today! She had her 2 week check up and is now up to 8 lbs. 7 oz. She is such a good little baby! She still doesn't get put down much though!
This last week has been a week of adjustment as Jeff has gone back to work and school! I tried grocery shopping with Gavin and Kennady while Gage was in school. It didn't work out so hot. I had Kennady's carseat in the place where Gavin usually sits, so I had to put Gavin in the basket of the cart. Well, he either was trying to push the carseat off the cart or he was opening something. He managed to open a package of hotdogs and eat a raw one!!!! Oh, that makes me sooooo sick!!! I guess we will start shopping at midnight when Jeff is home! Speaking of midnight, if you came to our house at midnight you would find Jeff and Kennady curled up together studying! She is quite the study partner! She is learning all sorts of accounting!

We got Kennady's pictures taken on Monday, we are excited to see how those turned out, I will be sure to post pictures when we get them back.

Jeff's sister and family was in town this week. So we had a pizza and rock band party at our house this week. Our nephew Seth just returned home from his mission, so it was nice to see them.

Wonderful Weekend

We had a great weekend. Tyler and Jill (my brother and sister-in law) had their baby Jackson sealed to them on Saturday. Then they blessed both of their babies in church today! It was fun to be apart of these special occasions in their lives! We are very happy for their little family!

Kennady's first outing, so we had fun dressing her up!!

One week

Kennady is one week old!

This was right after her bath. She is not quite sure what to think of it!

Kennady is just over one week old now! The week has gone by too quickly! She sleeps a lot. But I still can't put her down. I like to hold her whether she is sleeping or not. The boys love her! I still have a hard time calling her Kennady, I hope this will pass, because I would hate to change her name now. We are just enjoying a new little one in our house!

What a wonderful week we have had! This pregnancy and delivery and hospital stay was different than my two boys and it has been such a nice experience!! This was a planned C-section, so I never had to go through labor and I had babysitters lined up! The anesthesiologist allowed my Mom to come to the OR with me and Jeff, I was very grateful! Other than the panic attack I had in the OR,(it was a very embarrassing, out of body experience! It isn't a good thing when your blood pressure drops dangerously low!), the delivery went very smoothly. They even handed us the baby in the OR and let us carry her out of the OR with us. Jeff and I just kept looking at each other like, aren't they going to take her away from us. In fact we kept her with us the entire hospital stay except for the nightly weight check! It was a surreal experience! I guess that is what happens when you have a healthy baby!! It was nice to be able to spend some time with Kennady alone before I came home! I can't thank my Mom and Dad enough for taking Gage and Gavin!! I know that it was not easy! So thank you! The sleepover at Grandma and Grandpa's turned into a no sleep party in Grandma and Grandpa's bed!
Gage has been really cute and gentle with her! He likes to kiss her. When Gage was watching her first bath he asked, "Where is her pee pee?" We finally got one without a pee pee!
And when we got home today she started to cry and he said, "I don't think she wants to live with us!"
Gavin is clueless to the situation. He thinks "bebe" is another stuffed animal! He says "mine" and wants to drag her around like his teddy bear!
I am so excited for this new little baby! This whole experience has been so surreal! Everything from not expecting to be pregnant, to finding out it was a girl, to not being sick during this pregnancy, to bringing her home today! I am already in love with this little girl, she hasn't left my side since her birth! She looks a lot like Gage did as a baby, but also a lot like I did. It is exciting to be able to finally see myself in one of my children!
