CrAzY, bUsY week!!

This last week was crazy and busy, and much to everyones surprise, I didn't really take any pictures this week. On Monday we attended a funeral for a old neighbor Kuni, who has been sick since I can remember her. On Tuesday my mom, sister, and I took the boys to the pool, they had a great time. On Wednesday, my sisters baby ,Carson, ended up in the hospital with a fever. He stayed there for two days. On Thursday, we took the boys to the splash park while my sister spent her birthday in the hospital with the baby. On Friday, I took the older boys to Wall E. I wouldn't recommend it, it is boring. On Saturday we went to Gateway to shop. Then Jeff took me to the Cheesecake factory for my birthday. We didn't even have a wait, we got a table right away! Sunday my family had a BBQ to celebrate Amy's and my birthdays. We had a rousing cartwheel tournament and some thrilling games of duck duck goose!

First lake trip

The beginning of this week we took our first little trip up to the lake. It was just my parents and me with the boys. It was a pretty impromptu trip, so I wasn't as prepared as I should have been, but we had some fun. My mom and dad worked a lot as usual. This was Gavin's first year to really decide whether he likes it or not, last year he was just a baby. I don't know if he loves the sand, he had a hard time walking in it, but he LOVED the boat. He was WAY to comfortable on the boat or my comfort. He even learned to like the 4-wheeler pretty quickly. Gage of course loves it all. He thinks he is old enough to ride the 4-wheeler all by himself, mom says no way!! He has even mentioned he wants to try water skiing this year, we'll see. Thanks Mom and Dad for taking us to the lake!

Do you believe in miracles?

This past week has been such a wonderful week, a week full of GREAT news! First off on Tuesday my sister had her baby, Carson. Such a cute little guy and we are so excited for her family. But on Thursday we found out that my brother and sister in law who have struggled getting pregnant have been chosen for adoption!! The news just melts my heart, I can't explain the emotions that you feel when you hear the news because you have wanted nothing more for them. I can't imagine the joy they feel. The fact that they are able to adopt a child is a miracle in itself, but we have also known for a couple of weeks now that she is pregnant as well. I think we have all been guarded, because they have been here before and have miscarried. But with the news of the adoption, I just couldn't wait any longer to share the news. I have no doubt in my mind that things happen for a reason. That without going through the extremely difficult times of trying to get pregnant and then going through the adoption process, that this baby was meant to be theirs. And now they will have two babies! What a miracle! I couldn't think of a more deserving family! We love them so much and are so happy for them!

Happy Father's Day!!

Just wanted to wish my dad a Happy Father's Day. All he ever wants for Father's Day is "love letters", so it makes it easy. My dad is the greatest, it is not hard to write down a few things that I love about my dad. He is the most HUMBLE, SELFLESS man I know. He gets teased alot about it, but that's just because we like to tease and none of us are as selfless as he is. He is a very hard worker. He is the prime example of a "family man". Everything he does is for his family. He never does anything for himself. He is a true example of what it means to follow Christ. I don't think I have ever seen my dad doing anything dishonest in his life. My dad will drop anything at a moments notice to help his family, I have example after example of this: he has been the one to come when I had car troubles, locked my keys in my car, needed help with the kids, needed help with the yard, the basement, moving, sprinkler system.......my dad was there. He loves his kids unconditionally. He loves his grandchildren unconditionally, despite the fact none of us have been able to produce him a granddaughter! He never has any wants, worldly things are just not appetizing to him. I am so grateful for my dad. I enjoy going boating with my dad, playing cards, riding in the car (although with his driving you must hold on to the handle bars), and just talking. I will never forget Gage's accident for many reasons, but the main is the way my family reacted. The way they were there for me, their emotions. I remember my dad and the look in his eyes, the pain and the immense love. That is what got us through that rough time, was family. We tease him that when you call for advise and you get a big long speech, but in the end you realize that he just told to do what you think is right, and it doesn't matter what happens in the end because you are blessed and have a great family. We tease my parents a lot but is truly because we love them, we know they can handle the teasing, and because none of us even compares to their greatness!
HAPPY FATHER"S DAY DAD, I love you!

Baby Cheng is here!

This little guy arrived this morning around 3:30! Good thing he came on his own because his Mom was going to be induced that same morning and was not looking forward to it!! Weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces! I don't think he looks like Caleb or Parker, but I think the consensus from everyone else is that he looks a little like Caleb. He is currently undecided on a name; Sawyer, Skyler, and Carson are in the running I believe. We are so happy he is here!! Welcome to the crazy family little cutie!!

3,2,1,......blastoff!!

Ever since Jordan and Lacey gave Gage this rocket he has been dying to play with it! The big moment arrived Saturday when Jeff had time to play with him! Gage thought it was the greatest thing ever!!

Gavin is 15 months

Gavin just had his 15 month appointment today! His asthma is under control, and he is growing fine.
26 pounds (68th percentile)
31 inches long (41st percentile)
45.9 cm for his head (14th percentile, but hey that is better than 5th three months ago!)

Gage was always in the ninetieth percentile for height and weight!

I added this picture of Gavin because he always has to have his shoes on! Even when he is in his PJ's. He will bring you his shoes if he is not wearing any! He doesn't get that from me, I don't wear shoes more than I wear them!

Cousins

These boys spent two hours together with no fighting! It is a miracle! Now that they are learning to get along, we will be adding another one to the mix tomorrow! Little Sawyer is expected to arrive tomorrow!

a few pics..

Last week we had a really nice day that I never had a chance to write about. Gavin was taking a nap and it was just Gage and I who played outside. The weather was nice and it was nice just to spend time with Gage all by himself. We blew bubbles and kicked balls. Then when Gavin woke up and Jeff got home from work we went on our usual summer walk around Oquirrh Lake. It was the first time this year that we did it. Gage has been asking to for months. He loves to walk around the lake, so this is the first of many...

I was Tagged by Amy. This tag is about keepin' it real! The rules are to take a picture of the thing's below, but no straightening, primping or prepping. Leave everything just as they look at the moment you take the picture! then tag five people

1. Favorite Room

2.- My Closet
I like everything stored neatly in its place

3. Kids are doing-
I found Gage reading a book to Gavin, they always get along
4.Toilet
spic n span

5.Refrigerator
Always well stocked with highly nutritious foods
6. kitchen sink

7. self portrait
8. Laundry pile
I am always caught up on the laundry
9. Favorite pair of shoes
they only co0st $395 at Nordstroms

10. Where you want to go
Because I am so well traveled, a day at the beach would suit me just fine

In all honesty when I saw I was tagged, Gage was sick with diarrhea thus a majority of the pictures I took would unsuitable for many peoples eyes!! The only true part is that I would love to be relaxing on the beach right now, rather than helping Gage to the bathroom every hour right now, and than have to clean up after him. That is "Keep 'in it real" . Oh and Gavin is teething and he is a monster right now! Life as a mom........
I tag anyone who would actually do this without cheating!

Better Late Than Never!

Well we finally had Gage's birthday party on Saturday! The weather wasn't perfect, but it was better than it has been! We went swimming at the Kearns Oqhuirrh Pool. Why did we go there when it is not so close? Because they have lots of slides and kiddie pools, and the kids can bring floaties and you can bring all your own food! It is a great place. So I think the temperature may have barely hit 80. Which is still a little chilly to be swimming in cold water when it is a little windy. The kids lips were blue the whole time. But they had fun, I think. We had ordered trays from Chick fil a for lunch, what kid doesn't love chicken nuggets? Then the kids swam on and off, they had to come warm up a lot! Then we had cake and icecream and Gage opened his presents! Thanks for the fun gifts everyone. Then the kids swam again for awhile. It was nice and low key and the kids didn't fight! Yeah!!

Gage, Caleb and Jeff

The only picture I got of Gavin not running away!
