Slow down, you move too fast, got to make the morning last.....

Wow!!! The month of May has been a whirlwind!! We have had so much going on! I have been soooo far behind on my blogging that this will be one long post!! I wish life would just slow down a titch!
In May we have had lots of Tee ball games, a field trip to the zoo, my sisters bridal shower, race for the cure, mother's day, dentist appointments for the boys(Gavin's first!), Jeff and my 9th anniversary(happy anniversary Jeff!), a surprise graduation party for my brother and Jeff(see I have been so busy I haven't even blogged about the most momentous day!!), volunteering at the new Oquirrh Mountain Temple, Gage's 5th birthday, Gage's birthday parties, and Gage's graduation from preschool! Now lucky for anyone reading this I didn't take pictures of everything. But none the less I have a ton of pictures to share!!

First to start with Gage's Tee ball. He finally hit the ball from coach pitch the very last game!! Way to go Gage!! Gage has improved a TON from the last time we played tee ball!! I am just happy he played!!

Here are some pics of my extended family at race for the cure. We raced in honor my Aunt Susan who recently passed away. And I also walked for my Aunt Jerry who passed away about a year ago.

Gage graduated from preschool this week. He is one smart little guy. He is reading, adding, subtracting, spelling, counting, knows his address and phone number! We are very proud of you Gage. All the kids said what they wanted to be when they grew up, watch the video to see Gage's answer.

Gage also had his 5th birthday this week!!! Happy Birthday buddy!! I can't believe he is 5!!
For his birthday we went to Boondocks and played miniature golf and rode the GoKarts. We then had cake and icecream with Grandma and Grandpa and Ashley.

Then we had two birthday parties for Gage, a friends SUPER HERO party and then a family party. This is the first friends party we have done, so I didn't really know what I was doing. We just played games, made costumes, had a pinata, dinner, and cake and ice cream. I hope the kids had fun.

For our family party we went to Oquirrh lake and had a picnic. I tried to keep it low key and Gage loves to go to the lake and ride his bike and play on the playground. Here are the many pics of our family:

We have had a funfilled month! I am so grateful Jeff is out of school, because there is no way I could have survived this month without him!! Now I need some R&R!! Can't wait to go to the lake!

Click to play this Smilebox slideshow: Thanks Mom

Happy Mother's Day Mom!! I just wanted everyone to know what a wonderful Mom I have. She is going through a bit of a rough patch right now, so I want her to know that we are thinking of her and that we love her. She is the best mom any one could ask for, and just as importantly she is the best Grandma anyone could ask for. My kids adore her. We could only get Gavin to take his medicine this week by telling him that if he did, he could see Grandma! Worked like a charm!! My Mom is simple, she likes to be around her Grandchildren, be in the sun and have a diet coke! What else do you need? She is a great example to all of us! She cares deeply for us and others, to the point that she worries her self sick! (literally) She gives of her time in taking care of everyone else, including our kids! Life offers us many ups and downs, and my Mom has been there for me through all of mine! From the low point of having hospitalized children, to seeing my children be born, she has been there. I need her, I rely on her, I love her!! Thank you mom for being a great friend and Mom. Happy Mother's day!

Random thoughts and T BALL

My thoughts have been random this week. I have spent a lot of time just observing my little ones this week. Trying to take it all in. I think Kennady is so BIG already. I am trying to savor every moment, trying to remember what their tiny little hands and feet look like, they way they sound, the funny things they say and do. I can't believe I will have a child going in to kindergarten this year. Time is going by too fast.
The things that have stuck out this week :

Gavin and Gage have PJs that came in three piece set (tops, pants, and shorts) and they think that they have to wear all three pieces at the same time.

Gavin has been wanting to eat icecream for breakfast, lunch and dinner. He runs to the freezer and says "Bobby dirtday" (translation: Bradley's birthday)

Gavin is nonstop talking. I can't understand him most of the time, and I can understand him a lot better than anyone else. I am his translator.

Gage and Gavin can't be separated, they are usually teasing each other at all times, but they have to be by each other.

I am officially the nerdy mom that Gage is already embarrased by. Really? He is not even 5 yet!
I was pulling out some sweet dance moves and a made up song the other night at dinner. Gage lowered his head, shook it, and rolled his eyes. But Gavin and Kennady thought I was funny!!

I love watching Gavin eat. He loves to dip things. Those chuncky fingers get more dip on them then the object he is dipping. He is tongue tied and he can't lick an icecream cone, but sure is funny to watch him try!!

The other day, out of the blue, I said "Gavi I love you" His reply "No night night! No night night!" Come on, I say I love you more than just at bedtime!!

Kennady is interacting and I just love her to pieces, her cooing and smiling just melts my heart!

I loved watching Jeff playing catch with Gavin and Gage. Isn't that the way you picture your little family before you have one? It is hard to believe that I am at that stage in my life. It is so wonderful, fun, exaughsting, and hard.

I am grateful for my three beautiful kids!

Our future brother in law celebrated his birthday last week. So we went to Leatherbys for icecream. I sure hope Bradley knows what he is getting himself into!! Happy dirtday Bobby!

Gage started Tee ball last night. So far he has done better than he did the last time we played tee ball. And by that I mean, he participated this time. He actually hit the ball, ran the bases, played in the outfield and stayed out there!!
Gage ready for Tee ball season

Colton, Gage, and Gavin

The boys lined up to hit the ball, yes that is Gavin next to Gage. He wants to be just like Gage and can't be separated from him for more than a minute!

Team huddle, note that Gavin is right there

Gavin wanted to play so bad, and be just like Gage, that they gave him a t shirt and hat, he is now an honorary bee

This is how I found these boys asleep last night. Gage is in Gavin's bed, not under a blanket, but his truck rug. and they are sleeping sideways in bed!?!

Easter Festivities

We had a great Easter weekend, despite the cold and rain. On Saturday we went to the city's Easter egg hunt. Gage cleaned up this year, and Gavin didn't do too bad himself once I gave him a sucker to eat while he picked up more candy. And of coarse we decorated eggs! They LOVE to decorate the eggs! What a mess!

On Sunday the Easter bunny didn't disappoint. The kids had a great time finding eggs, eating LOTS of candy and playing with the new toys the Easter Bunny brought.
That night they had another egg hunt at Grandma's and Grandpa's.

Gage really caught on to the Easter story this year. It was nice to be able to teach him about Jesus and the real reason we celebrate Easter.

Enjoy the MANY pics!

Kennady had her 2 month appointment this week. She is just a butterball! She weighed 12 lbs 3oz. (90th%) and was 23.25 inches long (95%)! She is so much fun! She is smiling a lot and babbling. We can almost get a laugh out of her! I just think she is so cute!

I took Gavin for his 2 year appointment the same day!! What was I thinking! The next 2 days were pure MISERY!! they both cried all day long and both wanted to be held! And when I am by myself it makes it difficult to hold both of them all day! I had them give Gavin his shots first so that he didn't know what was coming. After I comforted him, I told him it was Kennady's turn. He kept saying over and over again,"No Neddie owie, no Neddie owie!!" He didn't want her to have to get an owie!

I took the kids to the grocery store the next day, despite the fact that they were both still miserable, and they both screamed at the top of their lungs the whole time. And people didn't look at me with compassion or understanding, they looked at me in disgust. A few even made comments! Have they not been in this situation themselves?!

I go back to work tomorrow, wish me luck! I will miss my little girl so much, but I am ready. In fact, I think I NEED it! It was actually my choice to go back a week earlier than planned. I need to get out of the house, and might as well make some money doing it, and Jeff can spend some time with the kiddos.
