Our own little Micheal Phelps

I just keep thinking about the comment I heard Micheal Phelps mother say, she mentioned that he had ADHD and she finally couldn't handle it any longer so she threw him into the pool. She thought swimming would wear him out and he ended up loving it! Well after this week I am more than ready to throw my two stinkers into the pool.
For example.....
I could hear both of them laughing (which is never a good sign), but I couldn't find them. Finally I figured out where they were........they were both in the dryer together. And no I did not take a picture, in that moment I did find them too funny.

Also this week Gage said (out of the blue), "Mom why don't you just tell your doctor that two is enough" I asked, " what do you mean Gage?" His reply, " I mean Gavin and I are enough kids, what do you think that you can just have three kids? That's too many! Who cares if Grandma wants a girl, you can't take care of all the kids in the entire world!"

Also, this week when I was in a rush to get out of the door, I come into the kitchen to find 2 bags of cereal poured on the floor along with milk. Gage's reply, "Gavin did it"

Also, Gage has been peeing his pants a lot lately, which he has never had a problem with before. His explanation, "i'm just a kid Mom"

Also, Gage asks my sisters boyfriend if he wants to see him naked as he is stripping his clothes off.

Also, we only have one pair of shoes left this summer that Gage hasn't lost or destroyed, but it has taken us about 20 minutes each day to actually find this pair of shoes.

What do you think, should I throw them in the pool?

Last lake trip of the summer :(

We went up the the lake this last week, it was probably our last of the summer!:( It was the best trip yet this summer though because it was the first time most of my family was able to make it up there together this year. It is always funner the more we have (MOM!). Gage wrote a whole list of all the things he wanted to do this week and we accomplished them and so much more!! And the best part was is that the cousins didn't really fight!! Thursday was really windy and Friday was really cold, but that didn't damper our spirits, we had fun anyway. We played on the beach, went boating, rode 4-wheelers, flew rockets, golfed, swam, played cards, ate lots of candy, and a few ventured off to the cave. We had a lot of fun and are very sad that it is our last trip of the season. We missed you Ty, Jill, Jackson and our party-pooper Mom.

Gavin loves the tube, but shows no emotion while riding. He lays back and just chills.

I love Gavin in this picture! Hair windblown and drinking a bottle while riding on the tube!

Dinosaurs

Yesterday we braved $2 dollar Tuesday again to go to the Dinosaur Museum. It was crowded but not nearly as bad as a few weeks ago. Gage loved it, Gavin not so much. I didn't bring in the stroller because I figured Gavin would want to run around, but I had to hold him the majority of the time.

Also this week we headed out to moonlight madness at Gardner Village, as soon as we left my mom won the grand prize!! I guess we are bad luck.

On Saturday Gage went to Caleb's b-day party. They had a lot of kids there!! I forgot to take pictures!! But I am sure Amy will post some.

Also on Saturday, Thurl Baily was across the street. All the neighborhood kids were going over to get his autograph so Gage followed. It was really funny because Gage has no clue who he is. When he came home he said, "Dad that big, tall, black guy signed this for me!" I then had to tell Gage the story of how when I was little, my family was at the airport to go to California. We saw the Jazz team there and everyone crowded around to get their autographs. So I thought I would to. My parents couldn't find me and I almost missed the flight, but don't you worry because I got "Big T's" autograph!!

OPPS A DAISY.....

WE'RE HAVING A BABY! SURPRISE!! IF IT'S NOT TO YOU, IT SURE WAS A HUGE SURPRISE TO ME!!! THIS WAS UNPLANNED AND UNEXPECTED! I HAVE A DEGREE IN NURSING AND I HAVE TWO OTHER CHILDREN, SO I AM FULLY EDUCATED ON HOW TO GET CHILDREN! I JUST STILL CAN'T FIGURE OUT HOW I GOT THIS ONE! I AM STILL WAITING ON SOME SIGN OR VISION FROM THE VIRGIN MARY! AND TO THINK THAT MY OTHER TWO CAME WITH FERTILITY MEDICATION, AND THEN THIS ONE JUST POPS UP OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF NO WHERE. I AM NOT MENTALLY, PHYSICALLY, FINANCIALLY READY FOR THIS IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM. WHEN I FOUND OUT, I WAS STRUGGLING SO HARD THAT MY DOCTOR PUT ME ON ANTIDEPRESSANTS! SO NOW, SEVERAL WEEKS LATER, I AM ABLE TO TALK ABOUT IT WITHOUT CRYING HYSTERICALLY! WHAT IS THE BIG DEAL YOU ASK, CAN'T YOU JUST BE HAPPY? I AM TRYING, I AM JUST NOT READY FOR ANY OF THIS.....NAUSEA, VOMITING, FATIGUE, FAT, MATERNITY CLOTHES, FAT, BREAST FEEDING, FAT, NAUSEA, FAT, ...OH AND DID i MENTION BEING NAUSEATED AND FAT! LET ALONE MY BABY IS ONLY 17 MONTHS OLD. HE WILL BE A MONTH SHY OF 2 YEARS WHEN THIS BABY IS DUE! SO FOR ALL OF YOU WITH KIDS CLOSE TOGETHER PLEASE GIVE ME SOME PEACE OF MIND.
SO FOR ALL YOU OF THAT HAVE BEEN WONDERING WHY THERE ARE NO PICTURES OF ME WATER SKIING AT THE LAKE THIS YEAR, IT IS BECAUSE, I HAVE NOT. THIS IS A VERY BIG SACRIFICE FOR ME, NOT ONE I WAS READY TO SACRIFICE THIS SUMMER!
BUT I HAVE NOT BEEN NEARLY AS SICK SO FAR AS MY OTHER TWO PREGNANCIES!! USUALLY BY THIS TIME I HAVE HAD AT LEAST ONE ROUND OF IV FLUIDS AND PUCKED MY BRAINS OUT! BUT THE VOMITING HAS BEEN MINIMAL AND THE NAUSEA, FOR THE MOST PART, HAS BEEN CONTROLLED WITH MEDS! SO THIS MEANS ONE OF TWO THINGS IN MY MIND, 1)IT IS A GIRL (ONE CAN HOPE CAN'T THEY?) OR 2)HEAVENLY FATHERS HAS PROMISED US HE WON'T GIVE US MORE THAN WE CAN HANDLE, AND I KNOW I COULD NOT HANDLE BEING AS SICK AS I HAVE BEEN WITH MY OTHER PREGNANCIES.
WHEN I FOUND OUT I WAS PREGNANT I ASKED JEFF TO GIVE ME A BLESSING. I TOLD HIM I HAVE PRAYED FOR A LOT OF ANSWERS SO YOU BETTER NOT STOP THIS BLESSING UNTIL YOU HAVE MADE SURE YOU HAVE TOLD ME EVERY LAST THING YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO TELL ME!! AND LETS JUST SAY, IT WAS A VERY LENGTHY BLESSING, BUT ONE OF THE MOST POWERFUL ONES JEFF HAS EVER GIVEN ME. I WAS PROMISED A LOT OF THINGS AND COMFORTED BY A LOT OF THINGS. I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING WOULD WORK OUT JUST FINE. I AM TRYING AS HARD AS I CAN TO HAVE THE FAITH I NEED TO BELIEVE IT, BUT MY HUMAN MIND IS STILL TRYING TO FIGURE OUT HOW!
EVERYTHING HAPPENS FOR A REASON RIGHT? THAT IS WHAT EVERYONE KEEPS TELLING ME, AND I KNOW I HAVE BEEN KNOW TO SAY THAT A LOT. I AM JUST NEEDING A LITTLE TIME GETTING THERE!
IT IS NOT THAT WE DIDN'T WANT MORE KIDS, JUST NOT NOW.
BUT THIS IS THE REALITY, WE WILL TAKE IT AS A BLESSING, AND RELY ON FAITH AND PRAYERS THAT THIS IS MEANT TO BE.....
BABY DECKER IS DUE FEBRUARY 12TH (GRANDPA'S HAPPY B-DAY!!)

Thanksgiving Point

Well I thought I would take the boys to the Dinosaur Museum yesterday because Thanksgiving Point is doing $2 Tuesdays in August. But the rest of the state of Utah had the same idea. The line for the museum wrapped around the building. So we decided to go to the barn instead. Not saving much money there, but it was less crowded and the boys love it. Gavin was absolutely thrilled to see the animals, he was screaming in delight at the top of his lungs! He scared a few of the little girls and made them cry. Whenever we go to the farm we usually take the tractor ride because as soon as we get up to the pony's Gage chickens out and won't ride them. But this time he said," Mom I really want to ride the pony's this time. Well of course the line was about 45 minutes long. So I tried to convince him to take the tractor ride. But he was persistent. So I stood in line for about 40 minutes just knowing he would chicken out and I would be mad at him. But he didn't he rode the pony no problem and he loved it!! But of course when I went to take a picture, my camera says low battery!!! Are you joking me???? This is a first for Gage! So I took pictures with my crappy cell phone camera. I have no clue how to upload those! Oh well, the boys had fun!

PS: I PICKED UP MY BREAKING DAWN BOOK YESTERDAY FROM THE LIBRARY!!!! SO IF YOU SEE MY KIDS RUNNING AROUND THE NEIGHBORHOOD AND THEY LOOK LIKE THEY HAVEN'T BEEN BATHED OR FED FOR TWO TO THREE DAYS.....................THEY PROBABLY HAVEN'T!!!!!!
