Carving Pumpkins

Last night we carved pumpkins, or I should say Jeff carved pumpkins! Some of them turned out pretty cute! We were all too tired still from our busy weekend to take pictures, so we tried tonight to get some. It is so cold and windy outside that we took them inside. It took several attempts to get one decent family one!! Happy Halloween!!!

Halloween fun

We had a busy weekend!! On Friday night the boys went up to my Mom's house for a Halloween party!! They had a lot of fun making cookies, eating dinner, telling ghost stories, playing sardines, and watching movies. Gage had so much candy he couldn't sleep!! Saturday we got up way too early to go to boo at the zoo. It was fun to be with Jeff's family at the zoo, but the zoo was way too crowded. On Sunday we had a Halloween/going away party for Jeff's parents at his brothers house. The kids had fun making ding-dong spiders. I usually hate Mondays, but today I am grateful for a day of "rest".

Gage's debut on Good Things Utah

My brother Tyler was advertising a party he is throwing on Saturday on Good Things Utah today. Gage got to be on with him. Gage almost chickened out at the last moment, but he went on anyway. He behaved pretty well, he did walk in front of the camera once to get some glue, but other than that he didn't fight with his cousin Caleb, or run off the stage or anything so I call that a sucess!! On the way home though my sister got a speeding ticket and I got a ticket for not wearing my seat belt! Loser cop, ruined all our fun! To see Gage in action, click on the link below. Corn Belly's

Yesterday we went to Thanksgiving Point to the Corn belly's. The boys had a lot of fun. They had hay rides, jumping pillows , a spiders web tower (Which gage couldn't get past the first level in, duck races, swings, tractor rides and on and on. We could have stayed all night if it wasn't so cold. Gavin's favorite part was the corn box. Instead of a sandbox it was filled with corn. We put on Gavin's mittens so he couldn't eat any and let him play in the corn. He thought that was heaven. We had a lot of fun. We took lots of pictures! Enjoy!

My blog's been down

My blog has been down for the last week or so. I don't know what was wrong, but when I tried to fix it with a new template I lost some things. Oh well. So it has been a very busy few weeks for the Decker family. Jeff has been off school so we have tried to jam as many fall activities into two weeks as possible. We went to Gardner Village to look at the witches. Gage was scared of them, but he loved feeding the ducks and going to the candy store. We also went to the pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins. It was a lot of fun and we got our pumpkins right before it started to down pour! We have had a lot of fun this fall! It is such a beautiful time of year!

Trip up Little Cottonwood

We ventured up Little Cottonwood this afternoon to check out the leaves before we miss them. It was really pretty. Gage had a great time. He loved being up in the mountains and looking at the trees. I can't tell you how many times he fell down. The kid has very little coordination, and he wanted to go much faster than trail conditions permit! Gage kept commenting on how much fun he had up in the mountains. That makes for a happy mom. I didn't get nearly the amount of pictures that I would have liked to, but I got one or two decent ones. When Gage was little and we would take him to the mountains in the fall we would take roll after roll of pictures. Poor Gavin, we just can't do that with him or we would lose Gage in the mountains unless we tied him to a tree.

Pumpkin Patch

Today I took the boys to Engh Floral. It has become a tradition to go and get pictures taken there. Gage is always difficult when it comes to pictures, but this year he was easier to bribe to get at least one smile!
