The Great Debate!! Who do our kids look like!! Well it is easy to see why some say Gavin looks like me and some say he looks like Jeff. And it is easy to see why they say the same about Gage. I guess it is scientifically proven now that Gage in fact does look more like his mother, even if it is only by 4%!!

SNOW DAY!! NO CHURCH!!!

YIPEE!! No Church today!! Canceled from the mounds of snow we got!! I have no idea how much snow we got because there were snow drifts that were several feet high and then bare spots. I would say we got about 15inches or more, but in some places we were shoveling three feet!! When we woke up this morning and Gage saw both Jeff and I home, he said, "Wow are whole family is home at the same time" That is pretty sad isn't it. We are never home all at the same time, even a three year old catches on to that. Maybe we will find sometime to set up Jeff's birthday present today. I don't have to buy him a birthday present for 10 years now! He got a new Sony Bravia LCD. Well anyway here are the pictures of the snow, the don't do it any justice at all. It was much more impressive in person!

In loving memory

The main reason I started a blog was because Jeff started school and was never home, I had started a daily journal/scrapbook for him, so that he knew what the kids had done or said that day. But it was a lot of work. So I decided a blog was funner and easier. But because I am using this blog as a journal too, I couldn't pass up commenting on a very significant event in my life and in my children's life. Our prophet has passed away. Yesterday had been a rough day to start out with, nothing was going right, church was a nightmare for many reasons. I commented to Jeff that maybe I was done going to Church. I have a strong testimony of this gospel, but I don't always enjoy going to our ward right now. When I heard the news that evening that President Hinckley had passed, it was hard news, what a wonderful man. I love him, I am so happy that his tired body is resting, I am so happy that he is with his wife again. We all know that is where he wanted to be. In contemplating his life these last few hours, I have decided to give more effort in my life. President Hinckley is a true man of God and had a beautiful, unwavering testimony of the gospel. I will lean on that testimony for now. I remember someone making a comment in church a few months back that when your testimony is wavering, as all of ours do at points in our lives, you lean on someone else's. I am so glad to be able to lean on his, and the many others in my life that our true examples of how to live a Christ-like life and have a strong testimony. I do know this Church is true. I am grateful for it's influence in my life. I love my Savior. I love President Hinckley and will truly miss him. I feel I have hit a rough spot in my life, I am tired, I am depressed, I am overwhelmed at the demands of being a mother and a house keeper and a wife. I am thankful for those that I have been able to lean on. Now I realize that this blog entry has been way to personal, so I am sorry to all those who read it.

Gotta love crocs

OK so I have this love, hate relationship with crocs. Hate the way the look, I always thought they were some pretty ugly shoes. But last year we were shopping for shoes at payless for Gage for my brothers wedding, I wanted cheap shoes because I knew he wouldn't wear them for very long. So they had their buy one get one sale going on. Gage wanted these crocs. I didn't care because they would be so cheap. Well he wore those shoes nonstop during the summer. But one day we couldn't find them anywhere. I will have to admit I was not too upset because fall was coming and he couldn't where them in the cold anyway. But Gage was rather upset. Well fall and winter comes and I am putting on and tying his shoes 15 times a day! I was going crazy!!! So for Christmas Gage got the Mammoth Crocs. They are crocs with lining in them to keep your feet warm!! LOVE them!!! He wore them everywhere!! Even to church, but I didn't care because I wasn't putting on his shoes a million times a day anymore. After Gage would go to bed,
I would here him get into his closet and get his crocs on and go back to bed!! Well a miracle has happened. We found his old crocs this weekend, and as you can imagine he hasn't stopped wearing them, yes he is even sleeping in them!!!

Gavin has had a busy January!!

Gavin has had a busy couple of weeks! He has hit many milestones! He has started to crawl, the first day he started to crawl Gage called Jeff and said, "Dad, Gavin is crawling! Now he doesn't have to roll around anymore!" Gage was walking at this age, for Gavin to just start crawling makes me very happy. Gavin is much more of a baby at this age than Gage was at 6 months!! It is nice to have him stay a baby longer. Gavin has also learned to clap and to wave Hi/Bye. He is learning to stand up, he can stand without help for maybe5-10 seconds. And his fifth tooth has finally broken through this week. Gavin is alot of fun and a good baby, now if he would only sleep.....
