Gage lost his first tooth over Thanksgiving weekend!! It has been loose for awhile now and he wanted us to tie it to the door and slam the door shut. It didn't pull out his tooth, but it did provide some great entertainment. Especially because I hadn't slept because of Black Friday shopping. That night he says, Mom and Dad my tooth is gone! We have searched the house, but have not found it! The tooth fairy did visit him though!!

LIghts all a glow

We decided to go see Sandy City turn on their Christmas lights last night for FHE. It wasn't too cold, too crowded or too long! Perfect!

Beauty is

Gage won first place in the reflections contest for photography. I gave him the camera, sent him outside and told him to take pictures of beautiful things. When we downloaded the pictures, I saw many flowers and many self portraits. We went with the self portrait and said, " Beauty is the ability to be yourself" He was so proud to win a ribbon! Here is a picture of him getting his award, you can see his picture on the big screen in the background.
This week while Gage was doing his homework, we needed to come up with a sentence that had the word "is" in it. I suggested, "my Mom is making cookies". Gage said, " no mom I have the perfect sentence, My Mom is beautiful". I thought that was very nice of him. He wrote the sentence by himself, only needing help with the U in beautiful. I said, Gage that is very nice handwritting, now just put a period at the end of your sentence and you will be done. Gage replies, " mom this sentence doesn't need a period it needs a question mark that way the sentence can say....(said in a questioning voice) my mom is beautiful????" As he is laughing hysterically!!! The teacher will enjoy this weeks homework we turned in!!
Yes, beauty is being able to be yourself and Gage is one of a kind!

Beauty is going pee pee on the potty!!! O.K it was only once, but it is a start!!!

Beauty is a contagious smile and laugh!! Pulling herself up on things, waving bye-bye, and scooting on her bum instead of crawling. By beauty just had her 9 month appointment and is weighing in at 19 lbs 7oz!!


Beauty definatly is the ability to be yourself!! Each one of my kids is so different and I love them to the moon and back!!

October comes to an end...

We had miscommunication!! Mom said: Gage stop playing with the vacuum, take your clothes off and get in the tub! Gage interprets: take my clothes off and vacuum.

I like to take the kids to Engh flower patch in the fall. At this pumpkin patch I make them wear their costumes, and they don't always want to! But this year they wanted to, they were willing to stop playing for a second and let me take a picture or two....everything was going unusually great for picture taking....until, Kennady fell off a haystack right onto her forhead and recieved a rather LARGE goose egg. Fun time was over!! I am glad I got some pictures before that happened! In fact I have so many of Kennady that I liked that I couldn't choose which one to post, so I posted several!!
